Importance and distribution

Matsushimaea comprises three species known on dead leaf of Cinnamomum japonicum (Lauraceae), decaying leaf of broad-leaved tree and in soil. Matsushimaea is reported from Asia (Japan), Europe (Spain) and South Africa.
