Importance and distribution

Pseudoasteromassaria comprises three species. Pseudoasteromassaria aquatica and P. spadicea have been reported from decaying wood, submerged in freshwater in Asia (Thailand). Pseudoasteromassaria fagi is known from twigs of Fagus crenata (Fagaceae) in Asia (Japan).
