Importance and distribution

Neoscirrhia comprises two species. Neoscirrhia matteucciicola is known on Matteuccia struthiopteris (Onocleaceae) in North America (Canada (Nova Scotia)). Neoscirrhia osmundae is reported from dead stems of Osmunda (Osmundaceae) in The United States (New York).
