Importance and distribution

Neodactylaria comprises two species. Neodactylaria obpyriformis is reported from bronchoalveolar lavage of a human in the United States (Arizona) while N. simaoensis was found from submerged unidentified dicotyledonous leaves in Asia (China (Yunnan)).
