Importance and distribution

Berteromyces comprises only one species causing leaf spots on Cassia indecora (Fabaceae), Parodiopsidaceae and Senna bicapsularis (Fabaceae). Berteromyces has been reported from Africa (Uganda) and Caribbean (Dominican Republic). Berteromyces is still a poorly studied genus and more species discovery is needed.
