Importance and distribution
There are 14 Annellophora epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but A. appendiculata and A. indica have been transferred to Repetophragma and Teratosperma, respectively. Annellophora comprises eleven species. Annellophora has been reported from several host plant families including Araceae, Arecaceae, Asteraceae, Gentianaceae, Malvaceae, Myrtaceae, Phyllanthaceae, Poaceae, Rosaceae, Rubiaceae, Rutaceae and Solanaceae. The genus is known from Africa (Ghana, Sierra Leone), Australia (New Guinea), Central America (Costa Rica), Asia (India, Indonesia, Malaysia), South America (Ecuador) and the United States (Texas).
