Importance and distribution

Acrogenospora comprises 13 species known on wood, culms of bamboo (Poaceae), bark of Quercus (Fagaceae), dead bark of Weinmannia racemosa (Cunoniaceae), bark of Taxus baccata (Taxaceae), from both terrestrial and aquatic habitats. Acrogenospora is reported from Asia (China (Hainan), Hong Kong, Thailand), Europe (United Kingdom, Italy) and Oceania (New Zealand).
