Importance and distribution
Allosoma comprises four species known on leaves of Arrabidaea chica (Bignoniaceae), living leaves of Cestrum macrophyllum (Solanaceae), dead stems of Meyna laxiflora (Rubiaceae) and Quercus laurifolia (Fagaceae). Allosoma is reported from Asia (India), Central America (Costa Rica), South America (Brazil) and The United States (Florida).
