Importance and distribution
Maublancia comprises seven species known on Boehmeria ramiflora (Urticaceae), Casearia bicolor (Salicaceae), Chrysobalanus icaco (Chrysobalanaceae), Eugenia jambolana (Myrtaceae), Garcinia sp. (Clusiaceae), Gaultheria sp. (Ericaceae), Myrtacea cujusdam (Myrtaceae) and Trichocladus crinitus (Hamamelidaceae). Maublancia is reported from Asia (India), North America (Caribbean, The United States), South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal) and South America (Brazil, Venezuela).
