Importance and distribution
Capnobotryella species are fungal indicator OTUs in BDGM soil (Longa et al. 2017). Capnobotryella comprises six morphological species known on stone and one plant family, Pinaceae. Capnobotryella is reported from Antarctica, Asia (Japan), Europe (Austria) and North America (Canada).
