Importance and distribution

Neoantennariella comprises only one sooty mold species known on Phylica arborea (Rhamnaceae) in Europe (United Kingdom). It forms blackened hyphae on the living hosts thus, reducing photosynthesis (Abdollahzadeh et al. 2020).
