Importance and distribution

Spilodochium comprises four species known on Acacia crassicarpa (Fabaceae), leaves of Machilus macrantha (Lauraceae), Parmotrema arnoldii on Fagus (Parmeliaceae) and Vernonia sp. (Asteraceae). Spilodochium is reported from Asia (India), Australia, Central America (Costa Rica), Europe (France) and South America (Brazil).
