Importance and distribution

There are ten Neocoleroa epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but some have been transferred to Wentiomyces. Neocoleroa comprises three species known on two host plants Metrosideros excelsa (Myrtaceae) and Quercus ilex (Fagaceae). Neocoleroa is reported from Europe (France) and Oceania (New Zealand).
