Importance and distribution

Wiesneriomyces comprises three species known on wide range of hosts such as Alstonia scholaris (Apocynaceae), Artocarpus communis (Moraceae), Caesalpinia pulcherrima (Fabaceae), Castanopsis cuspidata (Fagaceae), Cinnamomum camphora (Lauraceae), Clitoria ternatea (Fabaceae), Dillenia indica (Dilleniaceae), Eucalyptus sp. (Myrtaceae), Euonymus pendulus (Celastraceae), Fagraea schlechteri (Gentianaceae), Ficus cuspidato-caudata (Moraceae), Heritiera littoralis (Malvaceae), Laurus (Lauraceae) and Licuala longicalycata (Arecaceae). Wiesneriomyces is reported from Asia (India, Japan, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand), Australia, Central America (Panama), North America (Caribbean (Cuba), the United States), Oceania (New Caledonia, New Zealand) and the United Kingdom (England, Scotland).
