Importance and distribution

Kamalomyces comprises six species known on dead bamboo stems, dead culms of Dendrocalamus strictus (Poaceae), submerged decaying wood in mangrove (Rhizophoraceae) and dead stems of Bambusae (Poaceae). Kamalomyces is reported from Asia (Andaman Island, India, and Thailand).
