Importance and distribution
Helicotruncatum comprises only one species known on decaying branches in Africa (Seychelles), Asia (China (Taiwan), Indonesia, Japan), Australia (Papua New Guinea), Caribbean (Trinidad and Tobago), North America (Mexico, The United States) and South America (Brazil).
