Constrictolumina cinchonae

Importance and distribution

Constrictolumina sensu stricto comprises five species with a worldwide distribution. Constrictolumina cinchonae is mainly pantropical and reported from Africa (Kenya), Asia (China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Maldives, Philippines, Sri Lanka), Australia (Papua New Guinea), Caribbean (Bahamas, Cuba, Dominica), Europe (France, United Kingdom), North America (Mexico, The United States) and South America (Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador). Constrictolumina esenbeckiana and C. leucostoma are neotropical (reported from Caribbean (Bahamas), North America (Antilles and The United States). Constrictolumina planorbis is pantropical (reported from Asia (Jamaica), Australia (Papua New Guinea), Caribbean (Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic), the United States and C. porospora is neotropical (reported from Caribbean (Dominica)).
