Importance and distribution

Bogoriella comprises eighteen species known on bark of Syzygium jambos (Myrtaceae), dead leaves of Beilschmiedia tawa (Lauraceae), leaves of Furcraea gigantea (Asparagaceae), Pittosporum glabrum (Pittosporaceae), Schoepfia jasminodora (Schoepfiaceae), bark of Vochysia sp. (Vochysiaceae) and trunk of Annona muricata (Annonaceae). Bogoriella miculiformis has been transferred to Pseudobogoriella. Bogoriella is reported from Africa (Mauritius), Asia (China, India, Java), North America (Caribbean (Cuba), Mexico, the United States), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) and South America (Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela).
