Importance and distribution

Puiggariella comprises three lichenized species. Puiggariella confluens is known on leaves in Central America (Costa Rica, Guatemala), P. nemathora is reported from leaves in Caribbean (Cuba) and P. nigrocincta is known on living leaves in Asia (China, Vietnam).
