Species of Rechingeriella are saprobic and are involved in nutrient recycling in the ecosystem.

Diversity of the genus

Rechingeriella comprises three species known on three host plant and plant families namely Amaryllidaceae, Oleaceae and Poaceae. Rechingeriella is reported from France, Iran and Spain. Many hosts and regions are still understudied for the genus. Fresh collections are needed for epitypification.
