Celtidia J.D. Janse, Ann. Jard. Bot. Buitenzorg 14(1): 202 (1897).

Index Fungorum number: IF 867; Facesoffungi number: FoF 08393, 1 morphological species (Species Fungorum 2022), no molecular data available.

Type species: Celtidia duplicispora J.D. Janse

Notes: Celtidia is characterised by echinulate ascospores (Hawksworth 1979) and comprises only one species. Morphological description and molecular data of Celtidia are lacking. Celtidia is only known from an original illustration from root nodules of Celtis in Java. Celtidia is currently treated as a member of Zopfiaceae but this taxonomic placement is doubtful. A new collection and DNA sequence data are needed for further study.
