Importance and distribution

Parathyridaria comprises eight species known on several host plants such as dead branch of Robinia pseudoacacia (Fabaceae), Clematis spp. (Ranunculaceae), Rosa (Rosaceae), twigs of Philadelphus coronarius (Hydrangaceae) and twigs of Ribes rubrum (Grossulariaceae). It also causes subcutaneous phaeohyphomycoses in renal transplant recipients in Asia (India) (Rudramurthy et al. 2019). Parathyridaria is reported from Europe (Belgium, Germany, Italy, United Kingdom) and the United States (California). Parathyridaria seems to be a diverse genus and may comprise many more species.
