Importance and distribution

Sparticola comprises four species. Sparticola forlicesenae and S. juncei were isolated from dead stems of Spartium junceum (Fabaceae) in Europe (Italy). Sparticola muriformis was found on leaves of Poaceae in Asia (China (Yunnan)). Sparticola triseptata was reported on Tofieldia calyculata (Tofieldiaceae) in Europe (Switzerland).
