Importance and distribution

Carinispora comprises two species. Carinispora nypae has been reported on decaying intertidal fronds of Nypa fruticans (Arecaceae) in Asia (Brunei). Carinispora velatispora has been found in intertidal region on rachis of Oncosperma tigillarium (Arecaceae) in Asia (Brunei).
