Importance and distribution
Xenolophium comprises seven species known on bark of Metrosideros (Myrtaceae) and Knightia excelsa (Proteaceae). Xenolophium is reported from Europe (French Guiana), New Zealand, Asia and the United States (Hawaiian Island). Xenolophium verrucosum has been transferred to Ostropella.
