Importance and distribution
There are 12 Rebentischia epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but two species R. appendiculosa, R. typhae have been transferred to Anthostomella and Buergenerula, respectively. Rebentischia comprises ten species known on 17 host plants in Adoxaceae, Apocynaceae, Aquifoliaceae, Berberidaceae, Celastraceae, Costaceae, Fabaceae, Malvaceae, Pinaceae, Poaceae, Ranunculaceae, Rosaceae, Salicaceae, Sapindaceae and Ulmaceae. Rebentischia has been reported from Asia (India, Japan, Russia), Europe (Czech Republic, France, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom), North America (Canada, the United States) and South America (Brazil).
