Notes: Acuminatispora is characterised by black, solitary, scattered, ascomata, periphysate central ostiole, bitunicate, cylindrical and slightly curved, long pedicellate asci and hyaline to brown, fusiform,1(−3)-septate ascospores. The taxonomic placement of Acuminatispora is uncertain and is currently placed in Pleosporales genera incertae sedis. Molecular markers available for Acuminatispora are ITS, LSU, SSU, RPB2 and TEF-1. More collections with DNA sequence data are needed to confirm the systematic position of Acuminatispora.
