Importance and distribution

Extrawettsteinina comprises two species known on Andromeda tetragona (Ericaceae) in Europe and on fallen leaves of Pinus strobus (Pinaceae) in The United States (Massachusetts). Two species E. mediterranea and E. minuta have been transferred to Kriegeriella.
