Importance and distribution
Wojnowiciella comprises ten species known on Cissampelos capensis (Menispermaceae), Clematis viticella (Ranunculaceae), Dypsis sp. (Arecaceae), Eucalyptus grandis (Myrtaceae), Lonicera maackii (Caprifoliaceae), Leptocarpus sp. (Restionaceae), Rosa sp. (Rosaceae), Viburnum utile (Caprifoliaceae) and stem of Spartium (Fabaceae). Wojnowiciella is reported from Asia (China), Europe (Belgium, Italy), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand), South Africa and South America (Colombia). Some taxa are pathogenic, for example Wojnowiciella leptocarpi causes leaf spot (Hernández-Restrepo et al. 2016).
