Importance and distribution

Biochemical importance of the genus, chemical diversity or applications

Hussain et al. (2020) reported Svalbardines A and B and annularin K from cultures of endophytic Poaceicola sp. E1PB. Poaceicola comprises ten species known on Dactylis sp. (Poaceae), Agrostis stolonifera (Poaceae), Arundo sp. (Poaceae), dead twigs of Bromus sterilis (Poaceae), Elymus glaucus (Poaceae) and dead aerial spines of Rosa canina (Rosaceae). Poaceicola is mainly distributed in Europe (Italy) and The United States (Washington).
