Importance and distribution
Phaeosphaeriopsis comprises eight species known on plants in Amaryllidaceae, Asparagaceae, Iridaceae and Musaceae. Phaeosphaeriopsis phacidiomorpha was synonymized and transferred to the genus Glomerella. Phaeosphaeriopsis is reported from Africa (Mauritius, Réunion), Asia (South European Russia, Thailand), Australia (Queensland), Europe (France, Italy, United Kingdom), South America (Argentina) and the United States (California, Colorado, Texas).
