Importance and distribution
Seifertia comprises three species known on three host plants in Ericaceae. Seifertia is pathogenic causing bud blast and twig blight of azaleas and rhododendrons. Seifertia has been reported from Asia (China (Yunnan)), Europe (Austria) and the United States (New York).
