Importance and distribution

Longipedicellata comprises three species. Longipedicellata aptrootii is reported on bamboo (Poaceae) submerged in fresh water in Asia (Hong Kong) and two other species L. aquatica and L. megafusiformis are known on decaying wood, submerged in freshwater in Asia (Thailand).
