Importance and distribution

Dothidotthia comprises 15 species known on wide range of plants such as Acer negundo (Sapindaceae), Artemisia tridentate (Asteraceae), Celtis occidentalis (Cannabaceae), Clematis ligusticifolia (Ranunculaceae), Diapensia lapponica (Diapensiaceae), Quercus alba (Fagaceae), Robinia pseudoacacia (Fabaceae), Stylosanthis guyanensis (Fabaceae), Tetradymia (Asteraceae), Ulmus (Ulmaceae), Verbena asparagoides (Verbenaceae) and Symphoricarpos occidentalis (Caprifoliaceae). Dothidotthia is known from Asia (Russia), Europe (Ukraine), South America (Chile, Colombia) and the United States (Colorado, Kansas, Montana, Nevada, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina).
