Importance and distribution

Platychora comprises two species. Platychora alni has been reported on leaves of Alnus species (Betulaceae) in Asia (Russia) and North America (Canada, New York). Platychora ulmi was found on Ulmus (Ulmaceae) in Europe (Germany, Poland, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom).
