Saprobic on decaying wood in freshwater streams. Sexual morph: Undetermined. Asexual morph: Hyphomycetous. Conidiomata punctiform 300–350 μm diam., sporodochial, velvety, greyish to dark brown. Mycelium immersed, composed of brown, smooth, thin-walled, septate, branched hyphae. Conidiophores micronematous, pale brown, smooth, thin-walled. Conidiogenous cells 5–7 × 6–7 μm ( x= 5.5 × 6.5 μm, n= 25), holoblastic, integrated, terminal, determinate, pale brown, smooth-walled. Conidia 42–58 × 19– 38 μm (x = 48 × 26 μm, n = 35), solitary, monoblastic, acrogenous, cheiroid, pale brown, consisting of 5–7 rows of cells, rows digitate, cylindrical, inwardly curved at the tip, arising from a basal cell, each arm composed of 8–12 cells, distoseptate, constricted at septa.

Material examined: Thailand, Chiang Rai, Khunkhorn Waterfall, on submerged dead decaying wood in freshwater flowing stream, 13 January 2013, Zonglong Luo and Melvina D’souza, MJD-15 (MFLU 14–0253, holotype).
