Species of Aaosphaeria was isolated from soil of corn field. They may be saprobic and involved in nutrient recycling within the ecosystem.
Industrial relevance and applications
There are currently no industrial applications of Aaosphaeria.
Quarantine significance
No disease has been reported from Aaosphaeria.
Biochemical importance of the genus, chemical diversity or applications
The chemical diversity of Aaosphaeria has not been investigated.
Diversity of the genus
Aaosphaeria comprises only one species known from soil of corn field in Colombia. Aaosphaeria is a poorly studied genus and warrants further investigation.
