Importance and distribution
Synfenestella comprises two species. Synfenestella pyri has been found on Cytospora (Leucostoma) sp. on a branch of Pyrus communis (Rosaceae) in Europe (Austria). Synfenestella sorbi is known on branches of Sorbus aucuparia (Rosaceae) in Europe (Finland).
