Importance and distribution

Astrosphaeriellopsis comprises two species. Astrosphaeriellopsis bakeriana was found on dead leaves of Livistona sinensis (Arecaceae), A. caryotae was found on dead rachis of Caryota (Arecaceae) in Asia (Thailand).
