Saprobic on Cassia sp. Sexual morph: Unknown. Asexual morph: Coelomycetous. Conidiomata pycnidial, solitary to gregarious, ovoid to globose, brown, covered with hyaline to pale brown, septate, branched hyphal growth as a layer with outer brown layer. Conidiomata wall thick, two layers, inner hyaline textura angularis 1–2 cell layers, outer brown textura angularis brown 1–2 cell layers. Conidiogenous cells phialidic, doliform, hyaline, smooth-walled. Conidia hyaline, cylindrical, aseptate, smooth- and thin-walled, guttulate concentrated to ends (adapted from Jayasiri et al. 2019).

Notes: Amorocoelophoma is characterised by ovoid to globose, brown conidiomata, phialidic, doliform, hyaline conidiogenous cells, aseptate, smooth- and thin-walled conidia. Amorocoelophoma is a well-defined genus and the first report of a coelomycetous species in Amorosiaceae. Molecular marker available for Amorocoelophoma are ITS, LSU, SSU, RPB2 and TEF-1.
