Importance and distribution
Rimora comprises only one species. Rimora mangrovei is known on wood and bark of dead submerged Rhizophora mangle (Rhizophoraceae) in Central America (Belize). Dayarathne et al. (2020) found Rimora mangrovei on a mangrove sp. (Rhizophoraceae) in Asia (Thailand).
