Importance and distribution

There are 32 Tryblidaria epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but several species have been transferred to Durella, Rhizocarpon, Triblidium and Tryblis. Tryblidaria comprises 27 species known on host plants such as Berberis integerrima (Berberidaceae), Ilex sp. (Aquifoliaceae), Inula viscosa (Asteraceae), Jasminum fruticans (Oleaceae), Lonicera sp. (Caprifoliaceae), Populus alba (Salicaceae), Punica granatum (Lythraceae), Quercus ilex (Fagaceae), Salvia officinalis (Lamiaceae) and Sterculia sp. (Malvaceae). Tryblidaria is distributed in Asia (India, Iran, Pakistan), Europe (Georgia, Spain), North America (Caribbean, The United States) and South Africa.
