Importance and distribution

Polycyclus comprises two species. Two previous species, Polycyclus alsophilae and P. rhytismoides have been transferred to Pachypatella and Polycyclina. Polycyclus is reported from Diplazium lindbergii (Athyriaceae) in South America (Ecuador).
