Importance and distribution
Placoasterella comprises four species known on Aloe, Dracaena, Grevillea, Hakea and Pandanus in Asparagaceae, Asphodelaceae, Pandanaceae and Proteaceae in Africa (Eritrea), Asia (India), Australia and Caribbean (Dominican Republic).
