Importance and distribution

There are nine Palawaniella epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but three species have been transferred to Inocyclus and Placostromella. Palawaniella comprises six species known on leaves of Brosimum discolor (Moraceae), living leaves of Halleria lucida (Stilbaceae), Jasminum angulare (Oleaceae), leaves of Nectandra (Lauraceae), Euclea (Ebenaceae) and Xylopia aromatica (Annonaceae). Palawaniella is reported from South Africa and South America (Brazil).
