Campoa

Campoa Speg., Boln Acad. nac. Cienc. Córdoba 25: 90 (1921).

Pathogenic on host. Sexual morph: Superficial stroma, shielded, glabrous, with a thin carbonaceous texture, irregularly reticulate, cracked with undifferentiated sacs forming a junction. Asci subclavate, 8-spored. Ascosporesuniseptate, hyaline. Asexual morph: Unknown (adapted from see Spegazzini 1921).

 Type species: Campoa pulcherrima Speg.

Notes: Campoa is characterised by superficial, glabrous stromata, subclavate, 8-spored asci and uniseptate hyaline ascospores. Molecular data is lacking for Campoa. Fresh collections with DNA sequence data are needed to confirm the taxonomic placement of the genus.
