Importance and distribution
Mendogia comprises eight species known on culms of Bambusa (Poaceae), dead leaves of Fagales, leaves of Chamaedorea (Arecaceae), leaves of Palmae (Arecaceae) and living leaves of Calamus (Acoraceae) in Asia (Philippines, Thailand) and South America (Brazil).
