Importance and distribution

There are 19 Ramulispora epithets in Index Fungorum (2022), but some species have been transferred to other genera such as Gloeocercospora and Oculimacula. Ramulispora comprises 12 species known on several Poaceae host plants such as Alloteropsis cimicina, Avena sativa, Beckeropsis uniseta, Brachiaria xantholeuca, Cenchrus ciliaris, Digitaria ternate, Elytrigia repens, Lolium multiflorum, Secale cereal and Triticum aestivum. Ramulispora has worldwide distribution.
