Associated with leaf spot. Sexual morph: Unknown. Asexual morph: Stromata present. Conidiophores with anellations. Conidia pale to brown, verrucose, ellipsoid-obovoid with 1–2 transverse septa and occasionally an oblique septum (adapted from Ellis 1976 and Videira et al. 2017).
Type species: Pseudopuccinia thermopsidis (Harkn.) Höhn.
Notes: Pseudopuccinia is characterised by conidiophores with annellations and pale to brown, verrucose, ellipsoid-obovoid conidia. Seifert et al. (2011) mentioned Pseudopuccinia as a synonym of Stigmina. Braun and Crous (2006) and Crous et al. (2013a) considered Pseudopuccinia as a synonym of Pseudocercospora. The placement of Pseudopuccinia in Mycosphaerellaceae is doubtful. Fresh collections with DNA sequence data are needed to confirm the taxonomic position of Pseudopuccinia.
