Importance and distribution

Plochmopeltis comprises five epiphytic species known on Fagaceae, Myrtaceae, Oleaceae and Proteaceae. Plochmopeltis have been reported from Central America (Costa Rica) and North America (Caribbean (Cuba) and the United States (Florida)).
